Unless this is the first ad you have read, then you must know how much posturing and hard sales are amongst these ads. How much of it is bologna or fantasy? Walks on the beach sure I love them because they only happen once!! But what happens 6 months down the road seriously wheres the beach???
So here is my take on all this dating business, call it cynical, call it realistic and anything in between its my take. Let me use an analogy of eating out. There are an endless number of restaurants to choose from -- from fine dining to drive-thrus.
Lets say I decide to try a new place. If the first visit is not favorable, I may decide to never go back. Why I dont go back is irrelevant, maybe bad service, maybe bad food, maybe too far to travel, maybe too expensive, wrong atmosphere for me -- it doesnt matter I am not going back. This doesnt mean they are bad, they probably have their loyal regulars, but I am not going to be one of them.
I may completely enjoy the new restaurant, but only want to go on special occasions. It doesnt mean it was bad, but not a place I want to frequent. And yes, they too probably have their loyal regulars.
I myself am (and favor) the classic hole-in-the-wall. Nothing flashy on the outside. Maybe you dont even notice it from the outside unless someone points it out. They dont advertise, theyve built their business on word of mouth and their loyal customers. Its comfortable on the inside. The food is always good. Theyve got the usual but there is always a special to try. There is always a warm welcoming smile when you walk in.
