Our destination specialists have been born, lived or have travelled extensively in the countries they represent, and know the little secret extras that make all the difference to your tailor-made trip. Our destination specialists each focus on a handful of destinations and share the key qualities of being excellent listeners, communicators and organisers. They control our clients’ bookings from beginning to end, offering a highly personalised service.

Service Specialist

The role of the Service Specialist is to assist the Destination Specialist in the logistics of the trip: securing reservations, providing documentation, making sure supplier payments are made, confirming logistics, organising our exclusive additional services and generally monitoring the many moving parts of a tailor-made trip.

Dive Marketing Executive

We are excited to be recruiting a Dive Marketing Executive, this is a maternity cover role until the end of 2024.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate marketer and diver who has 12-18 months experience in a marketing position, and is looking to use their marketing and marine knowledge.

THE POSITION

This is a maternity cover role on a fixed contract until 31 December 2024. The primary responsibility for this role is marketing Original Diving to existing and new clients, in the UK and US. This will be a varied role that will encompass:

  • Regular content writing for Original Diving websites
  • Uploading of content, images and blogs to Original Diving websites, and liaising with the Dive Team on wider content creation
  • Search Engine Optimisation, through on-site updates and outreach programmes
  • Acting as the main liaison between the Marketing and Dive Sales teams.
  • Assisting with ad hoc website development projects as an when required
  • Creating and publishing regular and engaging Original Diving email newsletters
  • Creating and publishing regular and engaging Original Diving Instagram posts
  • Working closely with the PR team to come up with suitable press angles for Original Diving

MAIN ROLES

Our Asia team covers destinations from India & Sri Lanka, to Japan, across Southeast Asia and into Australia and New Zealand, and we are seeking candidates with passion for, and knowledge of, these areas. Senior CRM Executive

We are excited to be recruiting a Senior CRM Executive, a new position for Original Travel.

THE POSITION

This is a full-time role, and the successful applicant will be expected to work at least two, and ideally more, days in the office, located in Putney, London.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior CRM Executive to lead our efforts in building and maintaining strong customer relationships, maximising customer lifetime value, fostering brand loyalty and enabling the acquisition of new clients through recommendations from existing clients. As a key member of our team, you will develop and execute innovative retention strategies to engage, delight, and retain our valued customers.

This position involves active implementation, generating leads for our Travel Consultants, while also providing the chance to suggest and execute your own strategies.

MAIN ROLES

  • Transform first time bookers (particularly those from SS Sudan): into returning customers by pinpointing the motivation/trigger for their trip and suggesting comparable or complementary travel experiences.
  • Retention Strategy Development: develop and deliver comprehensive retention strategies, including segmentation, that focus on increasing customer loyalty, repeat purchases, referrals and recognising clients when they refer new clients and reactivation of lapsed clients
  • Plan, execute and optimise targeted communications (primarily email) to encompass various stages of the customer lifecycle, including triggered emails upon enquiry, booking, departure, return, birthdays and anniversaries. These initiatives will complement our regular weekly brand communications.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and customer service to understand holiday triggers, present captivating holidays concepts and ensure consistent messaging.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilise data-driven insights to monitor the effectiveness of campaigns, track KPIs, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Analyse data and feedback to enhance client profiles, and making sure profiles are kept up to date
  • A/B Testing: Design and execute A/B tests to optimise campaign performance and customer engagement.

Service Specialist

We are excited to be recruiting a consultant to join our Service team, a position which offers excellent prospects within our award-winning tour operator. The successful candidate will work within our Service team so experience of travel is desirable but not essential.

MAIN ROLES

The Service team is an integral part of the customer experience at Original Travel. The main aim is to work together with the Sales team and our clients and suppliers to deliver an exceptional standard of client service at all times. The key skills required to be successful in this role are organisation, attention to detail and the ability to work well with others.

SPECIFICS

The role is varied, and the team is growing and working in different ways to improve the service we offer but the main day-to-day tasks are as follows:

  • Working within the Service team in all elements of the post-booking process from confirmation of the holiday to the client’s return. Main tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:
    • Checking flights are correct and emailing the ticketing team to issue the tickets
    • Booking seats on flights booked through Original Travel
    • Booking all airport services (meet & greet, lounge, etc.)
    • Uploading final documents and setting up the app
    • Queuing supplier payments and emailing remittances
  • Becoming conversant and experienced with all external and in-house systems
  • Attending some meetings from visiting suppliers to learn about the product
  • Taking part in both internal and external training when required

THE POSITION

Key regions of interest include: UK, Italy, Greece, Portugal, European ski destinations and Croatia. Detailed knowledge of the Nordic countries of Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden would be a benefit.
